Lust

Lust ranked in the prime place in The Divine Comedy. It means that it’s the basic and the most serious sin among the seven. It’s the coital ritual like adultery. Dante means it adore someone excessively which depreciate God’s love towards human beings.

Envy

Envy could be the cause of crime. It someone owns more or lives higher quality then you, you are envious about him or her. Dante say that “Love of one’s own pleasant perverted to a desire to deprive other men of theirs”

Sloth

You may be suspicious about that sloth is considered to be original sin. The reason why sloth is committed crime is that you are wasting time when others are making efforts. If something that should be finished hasn’t been finished, it’s not beneficial at all for oneself.

Self-control is very important for one. If you have strong capability of self-control, you can restrain the evil nature in your soul and go positively towards life. These seven kinds of red wine cups are reminding you to be the host of yourself at any time and any place.
