Philip Lutolf’s new watch is about power!

I’ve happenen writing dealing with watches for some time at the moment and have always bewildermented how they conserve on improving these not far from perfect machines. And now to add to my further amazement, Philip Lutolf just added to its repertoire, a wristwatch, which uses helical springs instead of cochleate springs to generate power.
These springs produce 20 times the power as compared to the usual spiral spring.
According to Lutolf, this watch is not about power reserve but it’s about power. I wonder maybe someday they’ll add a vehivle engine to a watch!

The design may be unveiled over January 2009, and it may damage anywhere mid half a million to a million Swiss Francs.
